WVU Brass Area

The Brass Area at West Virginia University is comprised of the Trumpet Studio, Horn Studio, Trombone Studio and Tuba/Euphonium Studio led by brass faculty Dr. Robert Sears (trumpet), Albert Houde (horn), Hakeem Bilal (trombone), and Carson McTeer (tuba/euphonium).

Each WVU Brass faculty member brings diverse musical experiences, perspectives and skillsets to the program and is dedicated to tailoring their instruction to the individual needs and career aspirations of our students. Our goal is to help guide and mentor students on their musical journey, giving them the tools and resources to succeed in their desired career paths.
