Summer Flute Ensemble
FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS, ADULTS, AND SENIORS

CLASS DESCRIPTION
The CMP Flute Ensemble is a performance ensemble committed to learning chamber music for multiple flutes, including piccolo, alto and bass flutes (as those are available). It is a creative space where students can forge new friendships and and a valuable learning experience for high school students, adults and senior citizens who have 4+ years experience playing the flute (intermediate and advanced players). The term will conclude with a final concert for friends and family. Rehearsals will include warm-ups, tone and technique building exercises. No audition is required.

REQUIREMENTS
- Must play flute and/or any of its auxiliary instruments at an intermediate/advanced level (4+ years of experience)
- Exploration of the flute ensemble repertoire from the Baroque to the 21st century
- Development of performance, teamwork and leadership skills within a positive environment
- Individual training within a collaborative setting, which leads to musical growth and the understanding of effective rehearsal and practice strategies

REMINDER
A class is usually cancelled when registration is less than five (5) participants. In case of cancellation of the class, all students already enrolled will be notified immediately. Submit your registration form as soon as possible to ensure your spot. We will reach out to you to process payment closer to the first day of the group class.
