CLASS DESCRIPTION

This group class is an introduction to T’ai Chi and Qigong. Sometimes called Moving Meditation, this Chinese internal martial art and exercise form can be very helpful to young and old. Those who engage in the regular practice of T’ai Chi often report improvement in Repetitive Stress Injury, posture and body alignment, ability to breath more deeply, relaxation, balance, concentration, and mindfulness. This course is an introduction to a version of Yang Style T’ai Chi as modified and taught by Cheng Man-Ch`ing. Students will learn the basic principles of T’ai Chi and how to do the T’ai Chi form. Some Qi Gong warm-ups will also be taught. Beginning students will focus on the first third of the form. 

No previous experience required.

A class is usually cancelled when registration is less than five (5) participants. In case of cancellation of the class, all students already enrolled will be notified immediately. Submit your registration form as soon as possible to ensure your spot.
