An accomplished record industry, media and finance executive, Mr. Wonsiewicz has over 25 years of experience running music business publications, launching start-ups and managing B2B operations in Europe and the United States. He received his MBA in Finance from the University of San Francisco in 1989 and his BS in Journalism from the University of Tennessee in 1983.
Mr. Wonsiewicz began his music industry career in 1990 as Managing Editor of the first pan-European music business magazine Music & Media. During his tenure with the company, Mr. Wonsiewicz documented the changing landscape of the record industry during the early days of the European Union. Mr. Wonsiewicz then went on to manage editorial operations for Billboard magazine’s country music business publication, Country Airplay Monitor, and later directed record industry coverage for the leading trade magazine Radio & Records.
Mr. Wonsiewicz has interviewed some of the music industry’s most popular recording artists (Mick Jagger, David Bowie, Sheryl Crow) and most influential executives (Sir Richard Branson, Chris Blackwell, Clive Davis, Monte Lipman, Scott Borchetta). He also has been featured on cable business channel CNBC and in The New York Times and USA Today.
